WELS is currently doing gospel ministry in 24 countries in over 28 languages.

There are more than 77,000 baptized members in worldwide mission fields. Another 15,000 people are being reached with the gospel through alternate strategies.   These Christians are served by 50 missionaries plus several lay missionaries and layworkers who are part of the Christian Volunteer Corps of WELS Kingdom Workers.
