The highlight of this past month at Christ the Rock in Farmington, NM, was the baptism of Verna Lee. Verna has been visiting Christ the Rock (CTR) for several years now. A few weeks ago, after I had preached on Jesus’ baptism, Verna voiced her desire to be baptized as well. It was a welcome and encouraging surprise! After some Bible study, we did just that on the evening of January 30th. We ask God to continue to strengthen Verna’s faith!

I have known Verna and her family for about eight years now. For the past three years, she has been visiting our Sunday worship services very  faithfully. Verna frequently brings her husband and two sons with her to worship. One of Verna’s daughters and her husband occasionally visit us as well. We pray that God continues to use her to bring more souls to CTR.

At one point, Verna had started a Bible Information Class but she had to put it on hold due to family and work responsibilities. Recently, Verna shared her interest in restarting classes to become a member here at CTR. During the time I have known Verna, it has been a delight to see her grow in her faith.  May God bring her to learn more of his truths while he continues to bless her and her family!
