Aid to Nepal

Some new doors are currently being opened in places like Nepal, where Humanitarian Aid gifts support orphans, medical clinics and literacy classes.  While folks wait for care they look through Christian literature provided by Multi-Language Publications. This has resulted in people now beginning to study the Bible.

These pictures show several ladies studying for classes during the literacy program. Notice that these are young ladies who have a desire to be able to read. It is reported that the female literacy (definition: age 15 and over can read and write) rate in Nepal is only 35%.  Male literacy is at 63%.  Also, one picture shows the primative conditions under which the studies are conducted – note the “blackboard” and the chair with an arm missing.[slideshow=97]
