Trained to proclaim

A new seminary school year began on the third of August. There are ten men in the fourth year of seminary and these men will, the Lord willing, graduate on the July 16, 2010. Seventeen men began the second year of their seminary training and 36 men are enrolled in the two-year pre-seminary program.  Please pray that the Lord give these men courage and dedication to carry out their ministries and to work faithfully to complete their studies. Recently one of the fourth year students related that he was going through his village trying to do evangelism work. As he was working in one section of the village an important government office told him to leave his area of the village. He did not want Christ preached there. To underscore his point, the village official grabbed the student by the back of the neck and “guided” him out of the area. He was told not to return.

A little more than a week later the daughter of this official became seriously ill. After trying various treatments, the wife of the official urged him to call the student to say a prayer for the sick child. The student did as was requested and eventually the child recovered. Soon the official’s wife started to come to church, began to take instructions and was baptized! The official has even attended church. Pray that the Lord of the harvest would continue to train and equip pastors, teachers, gospel workers, Bible Women and students to faithfully and boldly proclaim Jesus as the Savior of the world.
