My family and I are located in Blantyre, Malawi, Africa. We have been serving here for about 5 years. My husband, Rob, is a bush missionary in southern Malawi, spreading God’s Word to over 13 congregations and to thousands of Malawians each month.

In 1975 Mark Johnston married Jane Gurgel and through the years they were blessed with five children.  His pastoral work took him to Bowdle, South Dakota – Deltona, FL – Waunakee, WI –and Spooner, WI, before accepting the call as missionary to Malawi, Africa.

With the Lord’s help and trusting in his direction, Beautiful Saviour, Blantyre, is making some rather significant plans.  I believe the second half of 2008 will be marked with a significant event that will change the flow of the congregation.
The church is divided into five committees: Evangelism, Education and Stewardship, Worship, Youth, and Property.
