Pastor Sternhagen reports that he rode out the storm in New Orleans and that their property and surrounding area had only minimal damage.  However, he had been in contact with retired pastor, Bill Greenlee in Baton Rouge, La., and Pastor Greenlee reports that extensive tree damage has been done to their church and fellowship hall and a neighbor’s house has been destroyed.  The WELS Committee on Relief is deploying their disaster relief trailer from Mobile, Ala., to Baton Rouge today – about a three hour trip.
