After the initial clean up by the congregation and lengthy discussions about how to refurbish, it was decided that the congregation would do the majority of the work themselves. Pastor Phillip Schupmann received the following information from Pastor Mike Duncan regarding relief efforts to the Pakistani Refugees: 

Two million refugees have fled the Swat Valley in Pakistan. Fighting between the Taliban and the Pakistani Army has caused millions to leave their homes. This has caused great suffering. Some have been killed in the crossfire; others [...]

The river will continue to rise, people will continue to evacuate, and the national guard will continue to serve. Current levels are over 20 feet and are expected to crest around 21.6 feet.
